Nothing But Trouble

The oscillation between jazz-rock sound in combination with a vibraphone is a unique mix that is a trademark of the band Marcin Pater Trio. (jazzsoul.pl)

Their music is primarily leader’s compositions, which oscillate around widely understood jazz. It can be characterized by light and lilting melodies played by vibraphone which is leading the band. The instrument give them unique and original sound which makes the band unconventional.

In December 2019 they released their debut album ,”Nothing But Trouble” with guitar player Jakub Mizeracki as a guest in three compositions. The sound with a vibraphone and electric guitar can be define more like jazz-rock and without they sound gently and clean.

Recorded, Mixed and Mastered at Tube Recording Studio the Album is the result of winning an international competition within one of the oldest Jazz Juniors Polish jazz festivals in 2018, taking place in Krakow.

Marcin Pater Trio has won Grand Prix of Jazz Juniors Contest in 2018 in Cracow, Poland. Also they have won both the first prize as well as the best composition for piece titled “Take Down” on Sibiu Jazz Contest in Sibiu, Romania. Additionally they were honored with first place on RCK PRO Jazz Festival in Kołobrzeg and they won a prize ,,Key to Career” on jazz contest named by Marek Karewicz in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland. Furthermore, they became finalists of B-Jazz International Contest in Leuven, Belgium.
